RAINWATER
HARVESTING

"It's
raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring but while he
chills his cistern fills and he'll have a full tank in the
morning."

As
Fred Neil sang: "You don't miss your water 'til your well
runs dry."
Don't wait
for yours to run dry. Capture rainwater from your roof. Store
it in a cistern like ours, shown above. Then you can drink it
- it's delicious. Wash with it - remember what soap suds were
like?
Run it through
your pipes - no more mineral deposits. If my wife Annie and I
can do it, you probably can too. Contact us ric@moment.net to
find out how we
did our rainwater harvesting system or contact one of the resources
listed here. |

It's
a scupper, skipper.
If you
haven't already, why not pay John Ahrns a visit over at
your friendly, neighborhood treasure, Westcave Preserve.
They've got an interesting rainwater system featuring these
gorgeous, hammered copper scuppers to catch the water. Want
to know more about Westcave Preserve? Their website is at
